Basic Health & Safety Course

Designed to provide an insight and an introduction to health & safety training for those new to H&S or for supervisors and managers who have had no formal training.

The course is of 4 x ½ day duration and delegates are provided with full course notes, folder, and a copy of the HSE book "Essentials (of H&S)".

It is held locally and at very low cost, with quality trainers from within the Group.

It has been run very successfullly for the last 8 years.

Risk Assessments

These are one day workshops that provide the tools for staff to undertake general risk assessments within their workplaces. Practical examples are incuded to enable the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations to be complied with. Display Screen Assessments are generally included.

Fire Risk Assessments

One day workshop for employers to conduct a fire risk assessment. Assessment must be in writing and regularly reviewed.

COSHH Assessments

So many think a Material Safety Data Sheet is a COSHH assessment. Your supplier does not know what you are actually doing with the material he has provided. So you must carry out a Control of Substances Hazardous to Health risk assessment. Covered in one day with a pro-forma.

Scaffolding Awareness & Working at Height

A very practical one day workshop with a sting in the tail - an examination. Dont worry the tutor will help all he can but you will have to stay awake for this one. All scaffolding has to be accompanied by a hand over certificate and the employer has to arrange for an inspection on acceptance, every 7 days or after inclement weather. CITB trained instructor with examples of the fittings and what constitutes unsafe practices.

These are just a few examples of the courses that we run at very cost effective rates. All come with certificates of attendance and lunch is provided on the full days.
